Best Toilet Reviews (Over $2000+)
Toto Neorest 700H Toilet
The TOTO Neorest is a technology packed, luxury toilet with a compact dual flush toilet and bidet combined. It uses a combination of electronics and surface treatments to provide a highly efficient toilet. Neorest 700 offers a step up from other high-end toilets in comfort, reliability and sophistication. Despite that very heavy price tag, it can make certain necessary activities a good deal more pleasant experience. It is ideal for either personal use or where a person requires assistance, due to the fully automatic operations.
Toto Neorest 700H
The Toto Neorest 700H ranks better than any other expensive toilet on this list. It is engineered to provide its user with an unrivaled level of comfort. The sleek design of it blends well with any existing bathroom decor and motif, and the skirted motif also adds glamour and luxury to your bathroom.
The toilet and bidet combination comes complete with heated seating and remote control. The seat can be heated conveniently as it uses a temperature control, so you can feel at ease during the coldest of winter nights.
The seat has an hands-free, automatic open and close function worked by a proximity sensor. At night, there is a night light that illuminates the toilet. The Wonderwave spray in the bidet operation has a combination of controllable warmed water and a warm air dryer which makes you well refreshed. And at the same time it uses the bidet water to flush the toilet contributing to its water efficiency and conservation.
The Neorest is technologically advanced in the materials its constructed. It’s made with Ceramic with a glaze called SanaGloss, which is a very high-gloss glaze developed by Toto that cleans easier when flushed, leaving the toilet cleaner for longer. Aided with these, the Toto signature Double Cyclone flushing system on this model works very efficiently whether on the standard flush which uses just 1.0 gallon of water or on the quick 0.8-gallon flush.
The height of the toilet seat is in compliance with ADA and Universal Design recommendations, so people of all ages and abilities can enjoy all of the Neorest innovations.
Another great feature in this Neorest is the deodorizer. A sensor under the seat begins the exhaust fan as soon as someone sits. Air is passed through filters to remove odors. No need ever to switch the bathroom exhaust fan on when using a Neorest!
And finally, you get a remote control that gives you complete access and control to all of its unique features.
All-in-all, I believe the Toto Neorest is the best expensive toilet currently on the market, all things considered.
TOTO Washlet G500 with Integrated Toilet
The Washlet G500 may not get the attention the Neorest does but it has a lot of similar features and is a incredibly good buy. It is a a innovation and comfort packed, one-piece, skirted toilet and bidet combined. Packed with technology in both the construction and electronically controlled features. The vast majority of users would not consider going back to a conventional toilet after using the Toto Washlet.
TOTO Washlet G500
This incredible TOTO Washlet is one of the big reasons why TOTO successfully dominates the high-end toilet market. But it is most certainly not what one would call a conventional toilet. As the name implies it’s actually a Washlet with an integrated toilet. A ‘Washlet’ is Toto’s name for a bidet, so in English, it is a combined toilet and bidet.
When it comes to its highly convenient features, the automatic lid and flush mechanism of this expensive toilet is hands-free so you no longer need to worry about sanitation concerns and problems. Front and rear warm water washing with temperature and adjustable pressure controls allows for a refreshing and luxurious toilet experience. And a highly convenient air dryer that gives off warm air adds a final comfort touch.
The Washlet has a dual-max flushing system that uses just 0.9 gallons for the quick flush or 1.28 gallons for the standard flush as needed. So you can save more water on the go.
The toilet is made from vitreous china that inhibits the growth of bacteria and the development of stains. A ultra-smooth SanaGloss glaze, aids for a complete flush, ease of cleaning and long-term bowl sanitation.
The seat height is ADA compliant. The remote control, illuminated touch pad. 2 user memory, all add towards a comfortable and luxurious experience.
The packed operations of the Toto Washlet G500 might be overwhelming at first. It does take a little time to learn how to use these features but, once learned, the washlet is a real pleasure.
KOHLER Veil Toilet
Not to be outdone by TOTO in the star range, Kohler offers several high-tech modern toilets to the discerning buyers. The Kohler Veil® Intelligent skirted one-piece elongated dual-flush toilet the from them in my opinion. Its got the higest customer ratings from all Kohler high-end models not to mention its the best looking expensive toilet in this list. If you don’t mind paying a premium for a high-end toilet with integrated bidet and automated action which minimize tough points, then you might want to give the Kohler Veil a go.
The KOHLER Veil epitomizes minimalist and ergonomic design with its flowing and immaculately balanced curves. The one-piece toilet with integrated cleansing functionality comes with precision features finely tuned to offer ultimate individual comfort.
This compact, streamlined toilet comes with an elongated bowl that offers added room and comfort. It got dual flush option which offers a choice of 0.8 or 1.28 gallons per flush (gpf). The toilet is a advanced tankless design plugged directly to the water supply.
The automatic opening/closing lid and flushing on this model minimizes touch points. The self-cleaning function uses electrolyzed water as well as UV light to sanitize the bidet wand surfaces for optimum hygiene.
All of the features are easy to control with the touchscreen LCD remote control that comes with it.
To complete the package you also get the automatic deodorization system which cleanses the air and the convenience of LED lighting that illuminates the bowl to serve as a night light.
It will be hard to use a non-intelligent toilet after getting used to the advanced features of the Kohler Veil Intelligent toilet.
TOTO Neorest 550H Toilet
The TOTO Neorest 550H is another model from the popular TOTO Neorest range and it is also one of the best-selling, multifunctional toilets you can buy. The main difference between Neorest 700H and this model is the more rounded, appealing shape and the seat height. The Neorest 550H is a regular height toilet as not everyone fancies the newver comfort height standard. The completely hands free operation of the Neorest lets you walk in, use the toilet and walk out with minimum contact. Available colors are white and Sedona beige. If the exterior design of the 550H appeals better to you, and you have a small space for a toilet, this will be a good decision.
TOTO Neorest 550
The Neorest 550H is a recent newever version of the bestselling Toto Neorest 550 Dual Flush One Piece Toilet. Compared to the 550 model this new 550H models has made huge improvements with the addition of Toto’s Ewater+ Disinfection System and higher water efficiency.
The Neorest 550H has got all the standard features we saw earlier in this luxury toilet category. It offer ecology-minded luxury, with technologically advanced washlet cleansing with three modes (front, rear, soft), heated seat, auto flush, auto operated lid, air deodorizer, nightlight and the convenience of remote control operation. There’s no need to touch the Neorest from start to finish.
Neorest 550H has also got the Pre-mist feature, which wets the toilet bowl surface and make it easy to flush waste approximately 80% better than a dry bowl. TOTO’S Cyclone siphon jet flushing system flushes away the waste with ultra-high efficiency using just 1.0GPF for the regular flush and 0.8GPF for the soft flush. And after each flush, TOTO’s eWater+ mists the bowl with electrolyzed water, reducing the need for harsh cleaning chemicals and does a good job of keeping itself clean.
The price difference between this and the flagship Neorest 700H can be pretty close. For that reason, if you have a few hundred bucks more to spare, take the TOTO Neorest 700H no doubt about it.
KOHLER Numi Toilet
Numi is Kohler’s most advanced toilet. It is also the most expensive toilet in this list. Numi has a compact, streamlined one-piece toilet design with an integrated bidet. It also comes with all the special features seen in the best expensive toilets we discussed above. In addition the Numi offers several unique features not found in the other expensive toilets like foot warmer, sound and ambient lighting with seven colors and three programming options. While it has many satisfied customers and it’s quieter than other toilets, there are some complains about the automated lid sensor and one or two other special features. The Numi K-7420 Premium Remote Control is also unfortunately sold separately.
The Kohler Numi is a toilet like no other when it comes to design aspect of it with its clean lines and illuminated panels. It’s has a sleek, compact design with an elongated bowl that offers added room and comfort. Chair-height seating makes sitting down and standing up easier for most adults.
It also boasts unmatched luxury features from ambient colored lighting to wireless Bluetooth sync capability to the heated seat and foot warmer.
When it comes to functionality, the efficient dual flush system consume either 0.6 or 1.28 gallons of water per flush meeting the strict EPA flushing guidelines of WaterSense toilets. The bidet it is among one of the best ones out there with self-cleaning wand, spray pattern, integrated air dryer, and deodorizing filter all in one package.
The Numi has a touch-screen remote control with magnetic wall-mount docking station but unfortunately it is sold separately, so you will have to buy it as an addition.

With great performance and low maintenance, this American Standard Champion 4 one piece toilet can be highly recommended choice for either the home or business environment.
TOTO Eco Soiree Toilet
This TOTO Eco Soiree Toilet is one of the prettiest one-piece toilet on this list. With a skirted design and high profile tank, Toto has spared no design costs on this one. The profile is just about perfect for a elegant toilet. Its water consumption of only 1.28 gallons per flush, shows how efficient the toilet is with water too. However its one of the most expensive one piece toilets.Yet can recommend it as a good trade off for a worry free, fancy and well designed toilet.

TOTO Nexus Toilet
The Toto Nexus is a beautiful toilet from Toto with a unique high profile tank and skirted design that goes all around the bowl. It is pricey for a two-piece toilet but a worthy option for those looking to spend a little more. The Nexus uses only 1.28 gallons per flush so it’s also a highly efficient toilet which will save you money over time compared to the initial outlay cost. Aesthetically pleasing, it will complement most bathroom decor and increase the overall value of your house.

Best Toilets Under $500
The Under $500 price range can be considered as the lower tier of “high-end” one piece toilet models as they bring high profile toilets to the table within most consumers budgets.
The leader of this price range, in my opinion, is the KOHLER Santa Rosa toilet closely followed by TOTO Ultimate. With lighter color models of it under $500 the Santa Rosa is easily one of the best toilets for sale at any price range.
You also find the best two piece toilet models in this price range with the TOTO Vespin II model leading with its high water efficiency and compact skirted design.

Best Toilet Reviews (Under $500)
KOHLER Santa Rosa Toilet
There’s really only a few names atop the high profile one piece toilet category… and the KOHLER Santa Rosa Toilet is definitely one of them. With a seamless, easy-to-clean design and a high efficiency 1.28 GPF flush rate, the Santa Rosa is a very high quality and powerful toilet. If there is a one-piece toilet out there that beats this KOHLER Santa Rosa out there, it isn’t by much. And of the other elite in the category, the KOHLER Santa Rosa white toilet is priced much better than all of them.
KOHLER Santa Rosa
If you’re looking for a high quality toilet for sale at a fairly affordable price (at least when compared to similar performing toilet), then the KOHLER Santa Rosa Toilet may be the toilet for you.
With an streamline toilet design that is well engineered and has an efficient flushing mechanism. It compares very favorably on price and features with similarly specified best one piece toilets in the under $700 category.
The newer comfort height seat (which comes with the toilet), the elongated shape of the bowl and the chrome trip lever for the 1.28 gallons per flush means that the toilet is both ADA compliant and EPA WaterSense certified. However, due to Kohler’s well engineered design this toilet only takes up a similar amount of room as round bowled toilet (which are not ADA approved).
The Kohlar AquaPiston flushing system and the fully glazed trap way combines to give this toilet a highly efficient cleaning action with a single flush.
If there is a downside with the Santa Rosa, though, it is the lid that is supplied with the toilet is quite thin.
All-in-all, the Santa Rosa Toilet, in my opinion, offers the best value-for-money in the high profile one piece toilet category.
TOTO Vespin II Toilet
As you can see from the top toilets here, TOTO products dominate every type of toilets segment. They have solid options in every price bracket and the TOTO Vespin II Toilet ranks well in the below $500 range. It has a 1.28 GPF low water consumption rate, comes with a very elegant skirted design and universal height seating. A very capable two-piece toilet that won’t look dusty and gross like the regular curly-cue bottomed toilets.
TOTO Vespin II
If you don’t want to spend over $500 for a great toilet you still have quite a few options to choose between. One such option is the TOTO Vespin II.
With a skirted toilet design, you no more have to clean the curvy “intestines” of the toilet. As for the water tank, it is smaller than with a standard, old-school toilet.
The TOTO Vespin II comes with a high efficieny 1.28 gallon flush rate and a skirted design, which is on par with some of the ~$700 toilet models mentioned on this list. The flushing technology it has is powerful and efficient with the amount of water it uses.
However, there are a couple of downsides with the Vespin II, namely it’s a two-piece toilet and the fact that you can get a one-piece toilet for a lit bit more money. While these factors aren’t too detrimental, there are other options in this price range that give you a better price.
Still, though, this TOTO toilet is arguably the best two piece toilet under $500 for its design and, as such, can be depended on enhance the value of your bathroom.
Kohler Highline Classic Pressure Toilet
This newly designed Kohler K-3493-0 Highline Classic Pressure Lite Comfort Height Elongated 1.6 GPF Toilet is highly recommendable for its flushing ability. Its a pressure toilet meaning it uses a air pressure technology together with water to give you a exceptionally powerful flush. The toilet is easy to install, fills the pressure tank quickly and quietly. It flushes like it’s angry, a fairly loud but brief sudden release of rushing water, and then it’s over. Elongated bowl offers added room and comfort. Recommendable for its for exceptional bulk flushing performance.
Kohler Highline Classic Pressure Lite
The Kohler Highline Classic Pressure toilet design is complementary in style. Its part of Kohler Highline series but with power flushing ability which makes it very suitable for high use bath or powder rooms.
Its got a pressure assist flushing system that delivers an extra powerful flush that will be a relief for those of suffering from having to plug the toilet often or have kids filling the toilet with small toys and stuff. You say good bye to those problems and throw away your plunger with this toilet.
The Highline’s comfort height features gives a chair-height seating that makes sitting down and standing up easier for most adults.
But the 1.6 gallon flush rate is probably a little disheartening and will likely sway some buyers to choosing other toilet models that have a lower water consumption rate on them.
The price and quality is a very good and its available in a several color options from white to black toilet models. Installation is standard and easy. Seat and supply line are not included.
KOHLER Memoirs Stately Toilet
The style on this KOHLER Memoirs Stately Toilet is one element that makes this toilet stand out from many others. It has a very retro look on the outside, but the flushing technology is completely state of the art. It comes with a high efficiency 1.28 GPF flush rate. With a advanced high siphon system and the way in which the water is directed this Kohler toilet flushes more efficiently than an older toilet with a 3.5-gallon flush system. With its elegant architectural look of a stately design you can make a bold statement in your bathroom.
KOHLER Memoirs Stately
The KOHLER Memoirs Stately Toilet is easily one of the exceptionally stylish toilets on the market and stands out of the crowd. The easily discernible look makes it hard to miss. Many consumers choose this Kohler Memoirs model, at least in part, for its style.
The two-piece elongated toilet design combines sensible ergonomics with sophisticated traditional style. The elongated bowl is positioned at a convenient height for comfort and ease of use which is in keeping with the ADA compliance.
The high-efficiency 1.28-gallon flush will save you thousands of gallons of water every year without compromising flush power. It has a single-flush gravity flush system and a canister that allows water to enter the toilet bowl from all sides, a combination that delivers efficiency and power.
Another great advantage of this Kohler toilet is that there are many colors to choose from. The black version of this is one of the best black toilets in the market. Apart from black and white toilets its also available in Almond, Biscuit, Iced Grey and Sandbar color toilets.
Kohler also has other matching bathroom fixtures in this stately architectural style in the Kohler Memoirs lineup.
TOTO Ultimate Toilet
The TOTO MS854114#01 Ultimate toilet is a best selling toilet for a long time. It is a 1.6 GPF elongated One Piece toilet that’s very reliable and powerful, always delivering a powerful, quiet flush. The TOTO Ultimate is very similar in design to the TOTO Ultramax toilet which we saw in the under $700 category. The main difference between the two is the TOTO Ultramax uses less water (1.28 GPF) but has a higher price tag. So if you don’t mind the flush rate, the TOTO Ultimate is a very good choice.
Power, force, and performance are just a few words that come to mind when you speak of the TOTO Ultimate Toilet. The Ultimate toilet has been in the market for a long time and it has lived up to its name. It is one of TOTO’s best everyday toilets for the household or public lavatory.
Unlike many other toilets in this list, it comes with a SoftClose seat, fittings and chrome plated trip lever all included which is a added bonus. This seat and lid utilizes a built-in SoftClose hinge system, which lowers the seat down to the bowl gently and quietly.
One drawback to the Toto Ultimate is the 1.6 GPF flush rate. There are certainly more water conservative toilet options on the market but its computer designed glazed trapway and larger water surface lends to tackling your most substantial bathroom challenges with one final flush.
The TOTO Ultimate is available in four different color toilet models. It is also available in a compact Round toilet bowl version, which is about 2 inches shorter in length than the elongated version.
Best Toilets Under $400
The $400 mark is where you find the best selling toilet models in the market. Its also the point where mid range toilets with high profile, one piece design give way to traditional two piece design toilets.
The toilets in this range are very consumer price friendly. All top toilet brands have multiple models target this price range so you get the most variety of toilets in the category.
The five toilets listed in the $300-$400 sit somewhere between low-end toilets and mid-range toilet as they all bring a lot to the table.
So, if you are looking for a affordable, high quality toilet these are the toilets I can recommend for you.

Best Toilet Reviews (Under $400)
TOTO Drake II with Sanagloss
The TOTO Drake II with Sanagloss is one of the two most sold toilets in the market today. It belongs to the Toto Drake toilet lineup. It is a very good classic entry level toilet that comes at affordable price. What differentiates this model from the other Toto Drake toilet models is the 1.28 GPF high water efficiency, comfort height seating, effective and reliable performance. The powerful flush is further aided by TOTO’s patented, super-smooth and highly effective SanaGloss glaze that prevents debris, mold and bacteria from sticking to the porous, ceramic surfaces. So, if you’re looking for the most perfect toilet found in the affordable price range, this is it.
TOTO Drake II with Sanagloss
The TOTO Drake II with Sanagloss finish is in my opinion one of the best toilet models in the market. For the price, you really won’t find a toilet in within these price ranges that has the feature set that the Toto Drake 2 Sanagloss offers.
This toilet has a highly efficient dual flush mechanism that uses just 1.28 gallons for the full flush that will allow you to save thousands of gallons of water each year. So its is a WaterSense standard compliant toilet which means it uses more 20 percent less water than the current federal standard, and suitable for states like California and Colorado that require low water use toilets.
The Drake II gives a powerful and quiet flush using less water on a large water surface and a wide, computer designed, fully glazed trap way. The surface is coated with Toto Sanagloss to make the waste slip away easily, quickly and quietly leaving no debris. This SanaGloss finish has proven to keep the toilet cleaner, longer, which means fewer chemicals in the environment and less water used for cleaning.
The traditional design of this toilet with stately lines will fit in nicely with most bathroom decor and styles. Furthermore its available in five different color toilet options let you pick and choose.
The seat height of the toilet is in keeping with the ADA compliance, making very comfortable for adults and ealderly. As is common with many toilets in this price range the seat is not included and has to be purchased separately.
On the flip-side, though, its a two-piece toilet, quite entry level in design and price, compared to the expensive toilets we discuss above. You can see those big double cyclone holes and the altered rim that makes this toilet work so well, which is maybe not that great of a “look”.
American Standard Compact Cadet-3 Toilet
The American Standard Compact Cadet-3 Toilet is a space saving toilet designed for small rooms. This compact right-height elongated bowl fits in the space of a round front toilet. American Standard calls this model one of its space-saving designs and its very popular as a office toilet and commercial buildings where space saving is important. Its got a good design, high efficiency water consumption of just 1.28 GPF and a ADA compliant Right Height. However its compact design can make taller and larger people feel uncomfortable using the bathroom. Yet it’s still one of the best selling commercial toilets in the market.
American Standard Compact Cadet-3
If you’re looking for a compact, space saving toilet for sale at a fairly affordable price, then the American Standard 2403.128.020 Compact Cadet-3 may be the product for you.
With a convenient one-piece design and an elegant elongated bowl that boosts its aesthetic value, the Compact Cadet 3 toilet is a sturdy and reliable porcelain toilet.
A big stand-out feature of this Cadet 3 is that it contains a powerful valve-based flushing system that sweeps up to 1000grams of solid waste at a go using just 1.28 gallons of water. With this water efficiency it meets the EPA-approved WaterSense standard that keeps water consumption ultra-low.
This toilet has also got an EverClean surface that inhibits build-up of stains and odors and growth of mildew, mold, and bacteria, and a comfortable slow-close toilet seat.
Overall, the American Standard Compact Cadet-3 toilet is definitely one of the top toilets currently on the market.
TOTO Drake with Sanagloss
The TOTO CST744SG#01 Drake Toilet with the elongated bowl and SanaGloss finish is another good and very popular toilet to consider in the under $400 category. The main feature to consider is the shorter standard height seating which is easier for kids and shorter adults to use than the new taller toilet models. The flushing is reliable and powerful as in the other drake models on this list but this model uses the federal standard of 1.6 gallons of water per full flush. So, if your decision is between the Toto Drake models, it will come down to the toilet seat height and water efficiency you want.
TOTO Drake with Sanagloss
When it comes to quality, design and convenience and price the TOTO CST744SG#01 Drake Toilet is great toilet.
This toilet has a trap way that is 2 and 1/8 inches, wider than an average toilet – possibly wider than the one giving you trouble and this assists the entire flushing process. No matter how large or tough your stools are, this Toto Drake toilet model’s powerful flush is reputed to take them down in its first attempt itself.
The SanaGloss finish on this bowl is a super smooth, ion barrier glazing that cleans your toilet bowl with every flush. With this SanaGloss smears and smudges get cleaned instantly with a single flush and it prevents the accumulation of slime, mould and mildew.
The two piece design makes it easier for installation and even replacement parts are easily available. The elongated bowl makes it more convenient to place your thighs on either side as you take your seat than a space saving round bowl.
However a small nuisance with this toilet is that the flush handle should be held for two or three seconds to experience the most powerful flush for solid wastes. This can be a nuisance.
TOTO Aquia Dual-Flush Toilet
The TOTO CST412MF.01 Aquia Dual Flush toilet is a competitively priced two-piece toilet that performs well and, thanks to the skirting around the bowl looks similar to many higher priced models. As with most dual flush toilets, there are two buttons on top of the lid that allow you to select which type of flush you want. With inbuilt Toto Dual Cyclone technology you get the best flushing toilet results from the 1.6 gallons and 0.9 gallons flushes. It is one of the best dual flush toilets in the market with its design, performance and bargain price.
TOTO Aquia Dual-Flush
The TOTO Aquia Dual-Flush toilet comes with a Semi-skirted design that gives the clean appearance of a skirted toilet without the associated problems of interfering with the water supply.
Its elongated oval bowl shape and seat height meets the requirements of the ADA specifications. But due to having a flush triggered by buttons rather than a lever, the toilet is not fully ADA compliant.
The Aquia toilet uses Toto’s Dual-Max flushing system which enhances and delivers highly effective flushes. Using the buttons on the tank top you can choose either a full 1.6 gallons flush or a 0.9 gallon flush. Test have proven the Toto Aquia meets the stringent requirements for the EPA Water Sense certification for dual flush toilet.
However this toilet cannnot be installed in public restrooms or used by employees as it doesn’t have a flush lever which is required by ADA legislation.
Overall a very comfortable and beautiful toilet you can fall in love with.
TOTO Promenade E-Max Round Bowl Toilet
The TOTO CST423EF#01 Promenade E-Max Round Bowl Toilet is a high profile and high efficiency toilet. It has a very modern stately look to the outside that makes it standout from the crowd. But the flushing system is completely state of the art with a powerful and quiet TOTO E-Max flushing system. The toilet is also a two piece configuration with a comfort seat height and elongated bowl. Available in several colors but only the white toilets are under $400 category. The elite model in this price range and one of the best price toilets you can get in a traditional design with stately lines.
TOTO Promenade E-Max Round Bowl
The detailing on this TOTO Promenade toilet is one element that makes this toilet stand out from many others. It is a very competitively priced toilet but still has many benefits of some higher priced models.
Toto has used technologically advanced flushing system and materials in its construction. Its constructed out of Vitreous China with a fully glazed trapway and the large water surface which Toto claims makes the flushing system very powerful and quiet.
The Toto Promenade has a very highly efficient flush system that uses only 1.28 gallons per flush. This low consumption flush of only 1.28 gallons per flush (GPF) means that this toilet also meats the EPA WaterSense standard.
Taller people and the elderly will benefit most with the comfort height toilet seat level of this model. Seat cover lid is not included and has to be bought separately.
Ultimately, the TOTO Promenade E-Max Round Bowl Toilet is a solid option in this price range, although, in my opinion, it’s not the best. It would have been better if it had Toto Sanagloss finish and a skirted design around the base. Still its give you high profile look with stately lines and high water efficiency in a traditional toilet design that will go with many bathroom styles.
Best Toilets Under $300
If you are looking for great basic toilet and you don’t want to spend a ton of money then fret not… you still have quite a few options to choose between!
No, you aren’t going to get a high-end toilet with great looks and highest efficiency out of sub $300 toilets. However, if you are on a tight budgets and need a good normal toilet that matches your bathroom fitings and works well with reliable clog free and leak free performance, this is a great price range to check out.
Toilets in the sub $300 category consist of mostly basic two-piece toilet models that you are likely to see in every store. There are no luxurious looking toilets from top brands with high-end features like skirted bowls, sleek one-piece units or highest water efficiency or latest flushing technology in this price point. If you are looking for these features try the under $500 price range and above.
In truth, the expensive and feature rich toilets on the market are incredibly more comfortable and long lasting (at least in comparison to some of these cheaper toilets), but that doesn’t mean they don’t have their own drawbacks, or cause serious problems.
The under $300 toilets listed below will give you solid budget friendly toilets that are durable, come from reputed brands and allow you to have trouble free, standard compliant toilets at your place.

American Standard H2Option Toilet
With a dual flush water consumption rate of just 0.92 and 1.28 gallons per flush and a elongated space saving bowl the American Standard 2889218.020 H2Option Toilet in the low budget level consumer toilets. The new American Standard H2Option deosn’t just boast high water efficiency but it also comes with a Siphon jet bowl technology with PowerWash rim and a EverClean Surface that all combines to give a great performance. Available in three different colors and two height levels, the H2Option is probably the best toilet in this price range for homes with kids.
American Standard H2Option
The American Standard H2Option Toilet is a tried and tested affordable toilet for sale in the market that’s been around for a while. The model featured here is the new 2889218.020 H2Option Siphonic Dual Flush toilet which has improved water efficiency even exceeding EPA WaterSense standards. So with the technology and surface finish you can expect a great peformance from this toilet.
The toilet has a two piece conventional design that will suit almost any space and design. It is available in Elongated or a Round front model which takes up less space, so is better suited to smaller rooms. The surface of the H2Option has an EverClean coating that is mold and stain resistant, meaning that the toilet stays clean for longer.
It also has a limited lifetime warranty on chinaware and a limited five year warranty on all mechanical parts which shows the confidence of Kohler on their product.
The drawbacks I see in H2Options is not much. Its design falls short of the elegance and beauty we saw in the high end toilet models discussed above. Also the H2Options does not meet ADA specifications, and is therefore not suitable for use in commercial toilets.
However when it comes to price and performance it’s hard to knock it too much for those reasons. All things considered this is one of the best cheap toilets in the current market.
TOTO CST744SL-01 Drake ADA Toilet
All the models in the Toto Drake toilet series are sell like hot cakes. They are much similar to one another, but vary in only one or two features. TOTO CST744SL-01 Drake ADA Toilet stands out of this crowd because it is the only Toto Drake toilet that’s high enough to meet the standards of ADA. Many buyers are a bit hesitant when they see a toilet advertised as a ‘low consumption’ fearing it means low power. But you need only one flush with its 1.6 GPF siphon jet flushing system to prove itself. With a taller comfort height elongated bowl and five colors to choose from you got a great under $300 toilet here to choose.
TOTO CST744SL-01 Drake
The TOTO CST744SL-01 Drake ADA Toilet is currently my favorite toilet under $300. And, while it will turn some buyers off because of its entry level basic toilet design and it has the specs, build-quality, and features of some of the mid-range toilets on the market.
At under $300 the TOTO CST744SL-01 Drake ADA Toilet sports a Toto engineered powerful siphon jet flushing system which is able to give quiet, powerful and commercial grade flushing performance. This model has been in the market for over a decade and buyers claim that it has made clogs non-existent. The 1.6 GPF water released is forceful enough and the ADA compliant fully glazed trapway is big enough to handle almost any level of challenge.
The CST744SL-01 Drake meets the seat height required by ADA at 16 and 3/4 inches without the seat. The toilet doesn’t come with a seat. So when you can get a Toto SoftClose seat, or a Toto Washlet it will be raised around a inch making it comfortable for even tall adults and ealderly users with disabilities.
The downside to this toilet, though, is that it a quite basic toilet and lacks the sophisticated design and looks of expensive models. And the warranty for a triple digit purchase is only an year is too short. But its same with other more expensive Toto toilets and the entire toilet industry isn’t very generous with warranties. The good news is a you will hardly put it to use because of Toto toilets are top notch in quality and performance.
The full ADA compliant of this Drake models means that it can be fitted in restrooms that are used by employees and members of the public.
KOHLER K-3987-0 Wellworth Two-Piece Toilet
The KOHLER K-3987-0 Wellworth Two-Piece Toilet is one of the cheapest toilets on this list. And, while it’s not the greatest option, if you just want a toilet from a best toilet brand with standard high seating and reliable performance, this will serve that purpose. Its a good dual-flush toilet with a efficient flush system and water saving choice of 1.1 or 1.6-Gallons per flush. The seating is standard height meaning its more kids friendly as than the other taller toilet models. The round-front toilet bowl makes it better suited for smaller baths and powder rooms.
KOHLER K-3987-0 Wellworth
Getting close to the end of our list is another low priced two piece toilet, this time from top brand Kohler. The KOHLER Wellworth toilet won’t blow you away with any kind of advanced features, but you will have have what you’d expect of a good toilet in terms of quality, features and functionality.
This model is also known as one of the best Dual Flush Toilets in the market. It’s left hand trip lever gives the user the option of either 1.1 or 1.6 gallons per flush. This Dual flush capability is what makes this toilet stand out from many other normal two-piece toilets.
As a rounded front toilet it requires less floor space than the other elongated toilets in this under $300 price range. . The toilet is a little smaller than the standard toilets, and but it’s still comfortable to sit on by full grown adults of all sizes.
The Kohler Wellworth also has a nicer elegant design than other affordable toilet models. Its better designed overall when side by side. Buyers of other bathroom fittings Kohler Wellworth collection will enjoy the additional benefit of compatibility.
Using the Kohler Wellworth will be a great surprise, and is one of the better bargain offerings on this list.
WoodBridge T-0001 One-Piece Toilet
The WoodBridge T-0001 Dual Flush Elongated One Piece Toilet carves out a space in this price range thanks to its luxurious modern design and positive customer reviews and recommendations. The high profile, clean sleek look and the one piece design is pretty much unheard of for a toilet in under $300 range. This toilet is also a dual flush toilet and is efficien with water. It has got a normal flush of 1.0 GPF and a full flush of 1.6 GPF. The toilet comes as a all-in-one toilet package, with everything including pre-installed toilet seat, wax ring, floor bolts, and installation instructions which is normally the case only with the most expensive toilets. However unlike most toilets in this list, the WoodBridge T-0001 doesn’t come from a well known toilet brand. I couldn’t even find a website for the suppliers who are WoodBridge. But with the ridiculously low price for a high-profile toilet design, this is definitely a toilet worth looking into.
The WoodBridge T-0001 is a very luxurious looking modern toilet. In terms of its design its the clear winner in this category. The high profile, clean, sleek look will compliment many different bathroom styles like modern, traditional and others. The comfort height seating will make sitting down and standing up easier for most adults.
As a one-piece toilet its also easy to clean. Compared to other toilets in the lower and middle price ranges, this model has no corners and grooves, so very easy to reach for cleaning and maintaining outlook.
The toilet is marketed and sold by WoodBridge, a seller who specializes in selling high quality kitchen and bathroom products in the US since 2005.
The WoodBridge T-0001 comes with a 5 year limited warranty on porcelain parts against fading and staining of the glaze and a 1 Year on flushing mechanism and soft closing toilet seat.
American Standard Cadet 3 Triangle Toilet
The American Standard Cadet 3 Triangle Toilet is a corner toilet making space saving installation in the challenging toilet corners a breeze. It is a very decent toilet that is sometimes available for under $300. This perticular model belongs to the American Standard Cadet 3 series toilets that come in a variety of styles. But it stands out from other Cadet 3 models because of its triangular water tank. The corner fitting tank design and the ADA compliant elongated toilet bowl combination makes a great space saving toilet. The toilet uses only 1.6 gallons of water for flushing and from customer feedback it performs great without clogs and other common toilet problems.
American Standard Cadet 3 Triangle
The innovative corner toilet design of the American Standard 270AD001.020 Cadet 3 is hard to miss. The unique design toilet features an elongated toilet bowl with a larger opening, and the high performance Cadet 3 Flushing System from American Standard that is known for a flush that works great and very durable.
The 1.6 gallon single flush with a 3 inch flush valve creates a powerful flush, and a 2.1 inch trapway helps to prevent clogs. The combination and engineering is highly effective and consumers are satisfied with the performance.
The toilet is made with a easy-to-clean vitreous China material and has got a EverClean antimicrobial surface which makes cleaning and maintaining easy. A long, 5-year warranty gives confidence in the durability of the toilet.
However you need totake care to clean the EverClean surface with a gentle toilet cleaner, as strong cleaners are known to cause damage to the surface treatment.
Ultimately, if you’re looking for a entry-level toilet in the range of around $300 you have plenty of options to choose from and this American Standard Cadet 3 Corner Toilet is one of those worth considering…
Best Toilets Under $250
In fact, there are toilets that can be had for under $250 or less. Are they going to deliver you a high-end toilet experience? No.
In truth, the expensive and big-name toilets on the market are better long term investments as they are more reliable, comfortable, attractive, and easier to maintain (at least in comparison to some of these cheaper toilets), but that doesn’t mean that they are perfect or won’t cause any problems.
Still though, you have quite a few options to choose between, including couple of branded white color versions of higher-range toilets at a discount price.
The selection in this range is very limited in terms of design, feature, innovation and colors. You find good toilets with a great feature or two but lacking in some other feature and option you might want. So you have to compromise on certain aspects. Your color choice is limited to a white color. But some toilets offer the same model in different colors at higher prices.
The toilets are two-piece units, which means increased maintenance and a less sleeker look than a one-piece toilet. They don’t come with toilet seats and plumbing accessories like wax ring or seals, so they need to be purchased separately.

Best Toilet Reviews (Under $250)
TOTO Drake Two-Piece Toilet
The TOTO Drake 2-Piece Toilet, perhaps more than any other toilet on the market, delivers the most for the price you pay. It has a sleek modern design and style which is on par with a lot of toilets over $400. Its commercial grade flush design includes a larger flushing mechanism. This helps more water go down the drain to remove waste and clean the bowl, which results in reduced maintenance and superior performance. Ultimately, if you are working with a budget of under $250 and you are comfortable with the standard height of older toilets and don’t mind the two-piece design, it is hard for me to recommend any other toilet on this list.
|Dimensions||28 x 19.5 x 30.5 inches|
|Water Consumption||1.6 GPF|
TOTO Drake Two-Piece
The TOTO Drake Two-Piece Toilet is currently my favorite toilet under $250. And, while it may turn off some taller people because it is not the taller comfort height, it has the design, performance, and durability of some of the $400-$600 toilets on the market.
At just under $250 this Toto Drake toilet sports a computer designed, larger elongated bowl design for comfort and superior flushing performance. The result is a great flush which is quiet and cleansing.
It uses simple operating parts that are easy to service and readily-available locally or through Amazon. Its manufacturer, Toto has the lowest defect rate in the in the industry.
Overall, with a great reputation for flushing performance and durability, the comfortable elongated design, and very low price (for a toilet from a high-end toilet maker, anyways), the TOTO Drake Two-Piece Toilet is one of the best price-to-performance toilets on the market.
So, if you’re working with a budget and you don’t mind the slightly higher water usage and standard height seat, then I’d say go with this TOTO Drake 2-Piece Toilet.
TOTO Entrada Elongated Toilet
There’s a lot to like about the TOTO Entrada Elongated Toilet from it’s conformt height, low water consumption, to it’s smaller efficient design, to it’s affordable price. With a flow rate of 1.28 Gallons it uses much less water than others per flush. Due of this, it can be used in states with high water efficiency standards such as Califonia, which require toilets to be 1.28GPF or less. So, this toilet should definitely be considered if you’re looking to spend less than $250 on a new toilet.
TOTO Entrada Elongated
There are quite a few economical toilet on the market today and one of the best hit in this category is the Entrada Elongated Toilet from TOTO.
Now, the Entrada Elongated toilet isn’t the best toilet around, but for well under $250 it makes the perfect entry-level toilet for anyone who is looking for a toilet for a small bathroom.
The Toto Entrada will has a quick, consistent and powerful flush that does the job well. People who have used it for over a year have high praise for it with no clogging or needing to use that pesky plunger, which is pretty amazing considering the price.
On top of that, it used only 1.28 Gallons of water. It’s much less than 1.6 limit required by federal law and several times less than 3 or 4 gallons used by older toilets.
The minimalist look, small tank not only makes this toilet take up less space but there’s another unintended benefit. With the flush taking only a little over a gallon, the tank refills much faster than other models. Yet the tank holds about 3 gallons of water, but uses less than half of that for a flush. This means you can flush back to back should the need arise (though you probably won’t need it).
In fact, you’d be hard-pressed to find a small toilet with higher specs than this model even among those of the $1,000 toilets available.
Like all toilets in the lower price ranges, this doesn’t come with, a wax or rubber seal, flange bolts or a toilet seat. So don’t forget to order these.
Ultimately, while this isn’t the best-built toilet on the market, it’s affordable price-tag makes it the perfect toilet for small bathrooms.
Toto Entrada Round Toilet
The Toto Entrada Round Toilet is another great toilet under $250 that can make even a tiny half-bath look larger.
Unlike some toilets, this isn’t particularly bulky and reasonably compact with dimensions of 23 inches by 15 inches by 30 inches. The slightly higher seat, makes it comfortable for taller and older people, while not so tall to cause problems to others. Flushing is powerful and gives a thorough cleaning. Yet it uses only 1.28 Gallons which saves water and complies with the strict flushing laws of states like California and Colorado. A excellent choice for small and medium sized bathrooms and those not looking to break the bank in buying new fixtures.
Toto Entrada Round
There are quite a few recommendable toilets on the market today under $250 and one of the best is the Toto Entrada Round Toilet.
One of the most notable features of the Toto Entrada Round Toilet is its sleek, compact design and round toilet bowl.
The round bowl design makes this toilet take up less room than elongated bowls. As a result, this toilet is more suitable for fitting into small spaces where space is at a premium even more than its sister model, Toto Entrada Elongated toilet. But elongated bowls tend to be more comfortable while sitting due to the additional support given to the legs.
The Toto Entrada Round Toilet has the ADA-specified comfort seating height of newer toilets, making it comfortable even for tall users.
Basically with compact design and a powerful, quiet flush using much less water than federal law specifies, this toilet offers a great bargain for small to medium size bath and places with space restrictions.
Like other top toilets in this price range, you need to buy wax rings, seat cover and bolts separately but they are not that expensive.
Ultimately, the Toto Entrada Round Toilet provides a unique option in the sub-$250 range with the a compact, round bowl toilet.
Niagara Stealth Toilet
The Niagara Stealth Toilet carves out a space in this price range thanks to the fact that it comes with good consumer reviews and Ultra-High-Efficiency Flush that uses just 0.8 gallons per flush (GPF). That’s pretty much unheard of from a toilets under $250. So, if you’re working with a tight budget, but you still want a very environmentally friendly and quite toilet that uses half as much water as a standard toilet, this is really the only option you have. After using this toilet for awhile, other toilets may seem outdated by comparison.
Niagara Stealth Toilet
The Niagara Stealth Toilet is another great sub-$250 option, though its brand is not one of the top of the range toilet brands. As I mentioned, one of the biggest features of this toilet is the fact that it uses less than a gallon of water per flush.
Basically, that means you save 50% water than normal federal standard 1.6 GPF compliant toilet and 20-30% less water than stricter Califonia toilet laws require. As toilet flushing consumes most domestic water, you will contribute to conserve thousands of gallons of water not to mention considerable savings on your water bills.
It uses very little water because it got a special pressure-assisted flushing system that relies on pressurized air that is forced into the toilet bowl with the water so that it can be cleaned. It fills rapidly and quietly (the fill valve is kept submerged within the tank so it makes less noise!), and there’s enough of a siphon to create a solid flush.
That feature alone may be enough to sway you to purchasing the unique Niagara Stealth Toilet, but along with the low flush, the toilet also comes with ADA-compliant elongated bowl design and comfort height seating which makes its much more comfortable to use than old toilets with standard height.
Unfortunately, though, the Niagara Stealth Toilet has a little bit of weaker sides as well. The name “Stealth” is perhaps overselling how quiet it is, but it does flush quieter than most. And according to some users it the flush is excellent, as advertised, but it would have been better if it used a little more water because after a flush, there are parts of the bowl which are sometimes still completely dry. This occasionally might require a double flush, which defeats the water saving feature.
Ultimately, this toilet has a very large and satisfied user base and its ultra-low water consumption makes this one of the best cheap toilets for sale.
TOTO Aquia Wall-Hung Toilet
If you like a wall hung toilet with a clean and clutter-free look, then consider the Toto Aquia. As a wall-mounted option its installation is a little trickier, but it can be paired with in-wall water tanks and others to give your bathroom a more modern look. It can also be installed at any height. This Toto model has induced many to try try their first wall hung toilet in their bathroom. A unique option at a bargain price.
TOTO Aquia Wall-Hung
Last but not least we have the TOTO Aquia Wall-Hung Toilet. Its great to have a wall-mount toilet like this from a high-end brand like Toto for under $250.
With this model you get a solid wall-hung toilet that can be paired with TOTO in-wall tank system as well as others. It comes with a Dual-Max flushing system with modern standard water consumption rate of 1.6 gallons per flush.
As a wall-hung toilet it saves space, unclutters the floor and gives a clean, modern look that makes the bathroom look amazing. Being off the floor and its sleek modern design makes it easy to clean and maintain.
This TOTO Aquia Wall-Hung toilet being a budget option doesn’t have the auto flushing ability of high-end wall toilets. For flushing this has two flush option buttons. One that you would use when you need less water, the second when you need more that uses the 1.6 GPF flush rate.
However this toilet model does have some complaints. Due to the little water in the bowl, sometimes particulates are said to get stuck to the inside of the bowl and need to flushed again or cleaned. It would have been better if Toto had designed it with a larger area of water but this happens even with many other toilets.
In the end, for under $250, it’s one of the top wall mounted toilet much cheaper than other models with these specs.
